Continuous Improvement Engineer

Babylonstoren is looking for an engineer who will focus on continuous improvement projects in various departments, including production, maintenance and tourism, with the aim of optimising profitability. The projects will therefore focus on process improvement using the DMAIC approach. The successful candidate will join our skilled engineers in the project team.

Requirements

• Degree in industrial, mechatronic or mechanical engineering.
• 1 - 3 years’ work experience.
• Good communication skills (Afrikaans and Engels).
• Skilled in process analysis and improvement.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Data analysis skills (Power BI) would be advantageous.
• Practically inclined.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee continuous improvement projects focussed on cost savings and profitability.
• Perform time studies and process analysis in production departments.
• Perform process optimisation in various departments.
• Analyse production data to optimise decision making.
• Lead general process improvement projects for the tourism, production and support departments.
