MEET OUR WATER BUFFALO
Get to know Babylonstoren’s tranquil grazers during a guided tour of Rietvlei, home to Babylonstoren’s herd of water buffalo.
This hands-on farm experience is perfect for families, cheese and gelato lovers and anyone curious about our wonderful water buffalo. Step into the dairy for a milking demonstration, bottle-feed a calf or lend a hand with grooming before discovering the delicious products made from their milk. Little ones can get creative with a clay activity, while everyone can indulge in a tasting of our water buffalo dairy delights.
Water Buffalo Tour
Meet us at the Babylonstoren Ticket Office for a short shuttle transfer to Rietvlei.
WHEN: Every Tuesday and Thursday: 13h30–16h00
WHERE: Meet at the Ticket Office from 13h20–13h30
COST: R600 per adult, R500 per child (4–18 years), FREE for children under 4.
The fee includes garden membership or entry to Babylonstoren. A R250 deposit is required to confirm your booking.
Maximum 10 guests per tour.
