Join us for a hands-on workshop that combines blacksmithing and woodwork at Soetmelksvlei, a delightful new excursion by Babylonstoren.
From the Babylonstoren ticket office, we take a short shuttle ride along the picturesque slopes of Simonsberg before descending towards the historic Soetmelksvlei farmyard.
Here, you’ll take turns to forge an iron ladle for serving and to carve a wooden spoon for stirring. You’ll spend around two hours on the woodwork side, carving your spoon, and three hours at the forge, making your iron ladle.
A hearty lunch will be served in the Old Stables Restaurant before guests return to Babylonstoren.
