Join us on an olfactory adventure as we nose our way around the estate.

Our oil fields stretch out below the Babylonstoren koppie, sun drenched and rich in essential oils. Make sure to bring a sunhat and sturdy shoes as we follow master gardener Gundula Deutschländer on the scent trail to harvest some fragrant herbs.

Gundula will discuss the benefits of the various aromatic plants that grow here, including everlasting, otherwise known as Helichrysum (Latin: sun-gold). We adore this sun-worshipping shrub that brings new meaning to “immortality”.

Gavin Hendriks, our compounder, will explain the distillation process in the Scent Room. You will have the opportunity to make a bath soak with his essential oils.

Steaming coffee from the Farm Shop is served on arrival.

Lunch at the Tasting Room is included.
