Celebrate the golden bounty of our pumpkin patch in this warm and wonderfully aromatic baking workshop with master baker Martjie Malan.

Following a short ride along the picturesque slopes of Simonsberg, we’ll descend towards the historical farmyard of Soetmelksvlei, which represents a time when life was simpler, and craftsmanship was treasured. Here, Martjie will teach you the secrets to achieving perfectly tender bakes bursting with flavour, using our farm’s finest pumpkins.

You’ll craft a classic pumpkin pie with a buttery crust, along with a spiced pumpkin tea cake crowned with cream cheese icing and caramelised pumpkin seeds. And because pumpkins always hold a little magic, a few delightful surprises will emerge along the way.

Steaming coffee from the Farm Shop is served upon arrival. Lunch at the Old Stables Restaurant is included.
