Only 10 spaces available

Escape to the tranquillity of Soetmelksvlei and spend a sunlit day learning the gentle art of papermaking.

Following a short ride along the picturesque slopes of Simonsberg, we’ll descend towards the historical farmyard of Soetmelksvlei, which represents a time when life was simpler, and craftsmanship was treasured. With February’s warmth making drying easy and satisfying, guests will dip in and out of the pulp vats to form personalised sheets by hand.

Guided by master gardener Gundula Deutschländer, you’ll gather flowers and foliage from the garden to embellish your creations, resulting in beautifully textured, nature-inspired paper. Perfect for creative projects, heartfelt letters (just in time for Valentine’s Day) or as pages for your next bookbinding workshop.

Steaming coffee from the Farm Shop is served upon arrival. Lunch at the Old Stables Restaurant is included.
